One of the founders of the law firm, Neb Mekani has been president of United Wholesale Grocery since 2006. Under Neb’s tenure, United Wholesale has seen lasting growth of its operations and footprint throughout the country. Neb’s reputation is built on trusted relationships with retailers both large and small and with extensive community work with charities and nonprofit organizations alike.
Prior to serving as president of United Wholesale Grocery Neb earned his law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1995. Shortly thereafter, he left his job with the firm of Fieger, Fieger & Schwartz to start his own law practice. Neb was the senior partner of the firm Mekani, Orow & Mekani, located in West Bloomfield, Michigan until 2006, at which time his firm merged with Joe Shallal and John Hindo, creating Mekani, Orow, Mekani, Shallal and Hindo, P.C.
